I rediscovered my creativity two years ago. I have always been an artist but had never believed that I could support myself through my art.
Two years ago I left a job in teaching that I had had for 25 years and decided that I needed to walk my talk. If I really believed that I could create a dream of being an artist, I just had to do it.
I now paint on silk and make slip-decorated earthenware pots. I have created a house by the sea with its own little studio and my own kiln – and I am gradually gathering a whole new group of fellow artists to support me in my work.
I had my first exhibition in the new year in Lancaster and I will be selling my ceramics at Pot Fest at Penrith in August.
I am living my dreams and loving my work. I am exhibiting my work in local galleries and am always looking for new opportunities. If you are interested in my work, please contact me at Silverdale 01524-702206
