Art And Metaphysics

We are all creative beings, we are all artists. Some of us choose to make a living through our art, some of us choose to create works of art for their own sake.

“Wealth is of the universe. It does not belong to us, we belong to it. We are privileged children and the universe has chosen to share its bounty with us!”

(Deepak Chopra on ‘Creating Affluence’)

To be truly creative, we need to get out of our heads and into our hearts. We need to dispense with logic and follow intuition. We need to clear space in our heads and in our lives, to dream and to play, to observe and to listen, to be aware of the beauty that surrounds us.

Artists who work metaphysically are aware of all of this. They work with the materials that excite and intrigue them, whether it be paint, clay, fabrics, wood, or whatever draws them. They create works of beauty for their own healing and for the healing of those who buy their work. They are aware of blockages and work with these to keep the flow of ideas moving. They take time to nurture themselves and to fill the well of creative ideas inside them. They call in their unseen guides and helpers and also create a circle of like-minded supportive friends to encourage them in their work.

If you are considering working creatively but you do not seem to be able to start, I would recommend that you read “The Artist’s Way” by Julia Cameron, and also the books and tapes by Gill Edwards. Try it and see what happens. Bring joy into your life and into the lives of others.
