Astrology and Colour Readings
Your astrological chart is like a soul map. It reveals what this lifetime is about, giving clarity on challenges and how to make the most of your potential. Exploring your birth chart is an invaluable tool to empower yourself on your spiritual journey. Bringing colour into the reading reveals what you are working with at the moment and gives you the tools to heal or change those patterns.
You will need to provide your date, place and time of birth, as close as possible. Amanda will also ask you to select some colour bottles. At the end of the reading you can choose a bottle that resonates with you to work with.
A reading can be done as a one-off, yet it can be very helpful to arrange a series of sessions to support you in your journey of discovery with astrology and colour.
All readings are recorded and last 1 ¼ hours. Readings can be done in person at Amanda’s home in Devon or by phone.

Amanda Bradbury
The desire to understand and help people led me to do a Psychology degree in the early 80’s, but I soon realised that my study of astrology provides far deeper insight.
After this I worked as a teacher of young children at the Merlin School in London, where I had the freedom to introduce my own ideas, such as yoga and guided visualisations. I loved working with the energy of the group and playing a role in the development of the children.
After further training on a 3-year course at the Centre for Psychological Astrology I began doing astrology consultations in 1995. Meeting my husband Gordon a couple of years later resulted in a shift towards using astrology for healing. I see my marriage to Gordon as a loving working partnership where we bring our complementary skills to assist people with healing and the evolution of consciousness.
I have a strong interest in film and was commissioned to write a film script, and following this worked as a freelance script reader for Pathe Pictures and was a consultant on astrology and sacred geometry for the film Revelation. I have written for various publications on astrology, including Paradigm Shift magazine.
My journey with colour started when I caught sight of Melissie Jolly at an exhibition in 2003 and was attracted to her light energy and her vibrant colour bottles. Colourworks continues to delight me with the magic it has brought into my own and other people’s lives.”
Colourworks
Colourworks uses the psychology of Colour with a system of combined coloured oils and essences to provide people with information, healing and support. This vibrant, magical system connects to both astrology and numerology and comes with the rich colours of Africa.
Melissie Jolly, a gifted colour therapist, channel and spiritual teacher, was guided to create the system in 2002 and makes the bottles from her home near Cape Town in South Africa.
There are 56 colour combination bath oils to choose from. Oils can be used as a therapy over a three-week period. They can also be used as body oil, in showers and as colour breathing for relaxation.
There are 23 spritzer Essences, which can be sprayed in rooms, around your body (aura) or on pulse points. They are fun and supportive and called Angels, Elementals and Dragons.
Amanda is a distributor for these products for people who connect to the system through her.
Workshops
Amanda is a qualified Teacher of Colour and offers workshops that support you in exploring colour and astrology. You do not need any previous therapy or colour experience, though many therapists are drawn to learn about colour to incorporate this into their work and colour compliments and enhances many other therapies and environments, for example Reiki, Reflexology, Counselling, hospices and schools.
Once you have completed Colour 1 the therapy oils and essences are available at special rates.

‘Colour Works’ Book
Written by Philippa Merivale this book takes you on a journey through each of the colours in the Colourworks system, drawing on case histories and personal experiences.
It is a text book for all students of Colourworks but stands on its own as an entertaining story about Melissie’s life in Africa.
This is a beautifully written, evocative book and really gets to the heart of what Colourworks is all about.
