penelope quest

by Robert on May 11, 2010

Penny began her own journey of personal and spiritual discovery in the 1970s when she became aware of her psychic abilities. She developed skills as a clairvoyant and channel, but since 1991 her main focus has been mind/body healing techniques. She was a Reiki Practitioner for several years before becoming a Reiki Master in 1994, and eventually in 1996 she gave up her career as a lecturer and senior manager in a college to teach Reiki full-time.

A psychology, management and education graduate, Penny has continued to extend her knowledge and experience by studying:
Meditation and Visualization; NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming); Kinesiology, Metamorphic Technique; Karuna; Dowsing; Feng Shui; Earth Energies; Native American Shamanism; and other subjects which promote understanding, personal growth and a holistic view of the person.

In addition to teaching Reiki, Penny occasionally leads meditation groups and other workshops and retreats which draw on the work of many teachers and writers, particularly Gill Edwards, Louise Hay, Shakti Gawain, and Susan Jeffers. She has been featured on a number of local and national television and radio programmes, talking about Reiki, sacred landscapes and other spiritual subjects.

Her first book, Reiki, published by Piatkus in March 1999, is a clear, comprehensive and accessible introduction to the theory and practice of Reiki. Penny is currently writing her second book which will be a practical guide for Reiki Practitioners and others who wish to understand and utilise the immense potential of Reiki, and this should be available in Autumn 2000.

“Reiki” by Penelope Quest, published by Piatkus, (ISBN 0-7499-1935-3) is available through any good book shop, priced £5.99, or at discount prices through the internet at Amazon or Cygnus.
