There is tremendous power in human contact, the solace of an embrace, the reassurance and comfort of a mother’s kiss. Unfortunately, the concept of touch, and especially massage, has become almost taboo in the last century. One of the most frustrating and, sadly, the most common comment when talking of massage is – “Oh, I couldn’t have anyone touch me”.

We have lost the ability to trust, we live so much of our lives caught up in our own world that to let someone else into it has become too much of a threat. And yet a state of trust through the ability to touch and to be touched – is the most honest method of communication.
