About On Site Massage

On-Site massage is a relatively new concept in massage, developed in the United States in the early 1980s. It is about bringing massage to the client.
There are now thousands of practitioners providing the service in offices, on aeroplanes, in hairdressing salons and in high street stores. It is an oil-free massage using pressure through the clothes on a seated client. It is an ideal method of reducing tension, but more than this, it may hold the key for the future success of bodywork and complementary therapies.

On-Site massage is a service that can be presented to the public very easily. It is cheap, it is quick, it requires no removal of clothing and can be taken to the client. Based on both Swedish and shiatsu styles of massage, it is designed for maximum effect in the minimum amount of time and thereby acts as the ideal introduction to the benefits of bodywork.

OSM does not involve the uncertainty of booking with an unknown therapist for whom the client may be required to strip. It can be done in the workplace during a coffee break and without any worry of oil stains on clothing and greasy feeling skin.

OSM will bring a more trusting environment, by exposing clients to a non- threatening but valid form of bodywork. They can let their trust grow with the therapist and bodywork therapies.
