On-Site Massage for the Workplace

- Relieve Stress and Reduce Anxiety
- Improve Productivity and Employee Morale
- Reduce Absenteeism and Increase Mental Alertness

What is On-Site Massage?

On-Site Massage is a form of seated massage based on the Japanese form of Shiatsu which:

- can easily be performed in the workplace
- lasts approximately 20 minutes
- covers the back, neck, shoulders, arms and hands
- uses a unique series of acupressure points and stretches to leave the client feeling relaxed and invigorated

“All the staff enjoyed the experience and have definitely felt the benefits by way of easing tension, increasing energy and enhancing morale. I can certainly endorse On-Site Massage as one of the most effective methods we have tried so far.” Byron Bramwell, Vodaphone N.I.

How do you know it works?

Firstly, the following are only some of the companies who have taken steps to implement OSM in their stress management programmes.
American Express, Apple Computers, AT&T, Heinz, Levi Strauss, Marks & Spencers, Motorola, TSB, United Airlines, Virgin, Jim Hensons, Vodaphone.

In two recent studies carried out by the Touch Research Institute, University of Miami, regular 15-minute massage was demonstrated to:
- increase alertness
- increase problem-solving abilities
- reduce anxiety

These abilities make OSM a cost-effective way to enhance productivity, decrease absenteeism and increase staff morale and loyalty.

The Antidote to Stress

Stress-related illness has increased dramatically over the last decade, resulting rising workforce costs and legal cases. Seated massage is an effective tool to combat the effects of stress.

“It pays for itself so many times over in terms of Physical, emotional and mental benefits.” Carol Shaw, Power of Seven Communication Consultant - Dublin.

How do we set the programme up?

Setting up a regular appointment schedule is straightforward. Simply contact our representative nearest you for an initial demonstration and they will discuss the following points with you:
- Assign a contact person. This person will be the communication between the practitioner and your company, they will help to publicise the programme and set up the appointment schedule.
- Provide a space. Any quiet area within the business is fine, it doesn’t need to be particularly large or even private.
- Lead by example. Make sure that your employees know about the programme and give it your support.

Seated massage is one of the most convenient forms of stress management available.

It is safe - it has immediate results – and, most of all, people enjoy it.

Plus – you only have to pay for employees who use the scheme, they can pay all or part of the cost, and the massage can take place during a break so that no work time is lost.

Special Events

On-Site Massage isn’t limited just to the office, it can be used both indoor and outdoor for:

- Sporting events
- Conferences
- Exhibitions
- Board meetings
- Charity events
- To mark birthdays, anniversaries or promotions
- As a reward for achievement or completing a project

In fact, how you use On-Site Massage is limited only by your imagination.
